*These rules are subject to change at any time and with any reason. Members may or may not be alerted of a change, addition, or subtraction of a rule, and are expected to look at the rules every now and then to refresh their memories and check if there have been any changes.
1. As on all forums, we expect everyone to be respectful to all others.
2. This is an account-per-member forum, so you get one account. Character trackers are required here, and although we do not have a character limit, if you do not play a character in 3 months, you will be asked if you'd like to keep the character or have them moved to the Inactive Characters board.
3. Face claims are optional here, so those of you (like myself) who are poor at finding them do not need to stress out. However, we only accept real life face claims. I've read an admin from ProBoards saying that children cannot be used as face claims, as per the PBs ToS. Because of this, if you're creating a child, you may use a face claim to show what they will look like as an adult.
4. Characters may have children as long as they are over 18 years of age. This is so we don't get shut down, as anything younger would be breaking ProBoards' Terms of Service. More information on having babies is posted on the Gift of Life board. Pregnancies must last at least 3 real life days.
The mother and father do not have to be married, or even dating, to have a child, as long as the OOC and IC decision is mutual.
5. Rape is not allowed here in a character's history or in RP. It's a horrible, traumatizing thing in real life, and while it would cause some in-character drama, it's sick and twisted, and we don't want that here. We also do not accept any incest anywhere. We also do not allow drugs or alcohol in apps, RP, etc.
6. If your characters are over 18 and are, well, creating a baby, fade to black. We don't want to get shut down and no one wants to read that.
No, you cannot roleplay it in PM, because that, too, is against the ToS, as ProBoards' staff can read PMs.
7. We have an in-character wordcount of 20 (twenty) words. This is to avoid one-liners. You may set a wordcount in an RP thread you start if you wish; all other participants of the thread must post with that wordcount (a few words off is fine, but if you set a wordcount of 100, and they post with 30, then it's a problem), or they will have their post quoted, deleted, and sent to them via PM in the event that they wish to add to it and post it again.
8. Be realistic yet fun with your characters. We do not accept 100% good or 100% flawed characters, also known as Mary Sues/Gary Stus. We also do not tolerate powerplaying (playing another member's character without permission) or godmoding (playing your character as invincible, etc.
9. If your character is under the age of 18 and living on their own, they can be in the orphanage. If not, they're on the run and have a chance of being caught and taken there. In-character fostering, adoption, etc. are all accepted here.
10. If you create an account and don't post at least a WIP application within 7 days without notifying an admin of your absence, your account will be deleted.
If you do not come on in 1 month and don't notify an admin or post about your absence, your account will be deleted.
11. When it comes to aging, you may age your character however you wish. Remember that multiples must age at the same rate, as they were born most likely a few seconds to a few minutes apart. Also, keep in mind that if your character has an older sibling, they cannot age up past their older sibling, and kids cannot be older than their parents.
12. We accept characters of all sexualities. If you don't like that, then no one's forcing you to stay.
13. Swearing is allowed both IC and OOC. Please try not to go overboard, though.
We prefer text chat staying out of both RP and the Cbox.
Those who give notification of their leaving will receive 6 months to return (unless they state needing long) before their accounts are deleted.
