Ruby stepped off the train, white sneakers hitting the cement. Her bag was around her shoulder, left hand gripping the strap of the large, orange-and-white purse. Ruby took a deep breath of the smoky air from the train, let out a small cough, then stepped out of the station, sitting on a bench nearby with a decent view. She'd never been to this town before- didn't know its name, in fact- but it seemed like a nice place to start fresh.
As Ruby sat on the bench, she looked around, hoping a resident was around and could tell her a little about where she was.
